Vision

To educate our students by allowing them maximize their potential. To inspire each student to excel and seek academic and personal challenge. The school encourages curiosity, critical thinking, wellbeing and integrity, for its students to become engaged citizens of the world.

Mission

To offer a curriculum recognised by the French national education in a multi-cultural, secular environment based on the French academic traditions combined with Norwegian cultural values. The school is part of the worldwide AEFE network of schools and welcomes students of all backgrounds from 3 to 18 years old

Strive for academic excellence and an inclusive learning environment

The school aims to deliver the best possible academic results within the AEFE framework. This demands the empowering of our students to be confident and well-rounded human beings.

Priorities:
  1. Make our students excel in national and international tests and competitions, obtaining grades to enter top-level universities and schools around the world.

  2. Providing a welcoming learning environment, valuing social interaction and physical activity.

  3. Continuously improve our learning facilities, resources and support services.

  4. Further develop the after-school study support with an emphasis on the proper acquisition of methods (learning to learn)

  5. Increase cultural and artistic exposure for students at all levels

Strengthen our open, multi-cultural community

The school values a multi-cultural, secular learning environment to prepare the students to become engaged citizens of the world. This demands diversity among students and collaboration between different nationalities and cultural backgrounds to promote
understanding, tolerance and respect.

Priorities:
  1. Work towards the international campus for the higher-level students

  2. Further develop educational support for non-French students

  3. Increase communication toward international, non-French communities

  4. Strive to extend the number of languages in the educational programmes

In order to achieve a positive learning environment and academic excellence, qualified and motivated staff is a crucial factor. An attractive working environment will contribute to retain and attract the most qualified teachers and support staff.

  1. Ensure a good physical and social work environment

  2. Strive towards implementation of state-of-the-art educational tools

  3. Prioritise investments in professional development and strengthen the administrative services of the school

  4. Value the benefits from the AEFE system

 

Secure a sound financial basis for development of the school

To ensure the viability of the school and a high quality educational offer it is imperative to secure a sound financial development for the school.

Priorities:
  1. Optimise the composition, number and internal flow of student cohorts

  2. Ensure managerial, administrative and operational cost effectiveness

  3. Assure school fees that make the French school accessible for students of all backgrounds

  4. Attend to the need of clear understanding of the Norwegian institutional context and adequate integration in the Norwegian society
