Raising Awareness, Understanding, and Sharing: LFO’s Eco-Representatives Take Action for the Environment
At LFO, the eco-representatives are deepening their understanding of environmental issues so they can better share this knowledge with their classmates. Activities like the Climate Mural support them in this effort by placing a central focus on reflection and discussion.
Understanding the mechanisms of climate change together
La Fresque du Climat is an educational and collaborative workshop based on scientific knowledge drawn from reports by the IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Using a set of cards, participants piece together the connections between human activities, the causes of climate change, and its consequences. Everyone contributes to the discussion: participants exchange ideas, challenge one another’s perspectives, and gradually build a comprehensive picture. Knowledge to share within the school
For the eco-representatives, gaining a better understanding of these mechanisms also enables them to explain them more effectively. These learning opportunities support their role as liaisons with other students and help them raise awareness within the school community about sustainable development issues.
