🕊️ “Peace is possible”: sharing a message of peace

Our 1re and Terminale students studying Spanish as their second foreign language visited the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo with their Spanish teacher to attend a talk and an interview with Juan Manuel Santos, former President of Colombia and 2016 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
The event marked the tenth anniversary of the signing of the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrilla movement.
An opportunity for our students to better understand Colombia’s recent history and reflect on the role of dialogue in building peace.
This encounter connects Spanish language learning, an understanding of the Spanish-speaking world and peace education. An opportunity for our students to explore Colombia’s recent history through the testimony of one of its key figures.
