Our students from 6eme to 4eme once again benefited from various workshops on the theme of taste as a whole but also focusing on jobs related to catering, pastry, bakery and processing and transport.
Laurent Benguigi, facilitator on this week of taste and Claude Daram, well-being manager of the LFO, invited our students to practice their puck on food tests from various backgrounds (dates, fig, pomelo, kumquat and guava for fruits exotic).
They studied the contrast between the appearance of a food / its taste, the influence on our health by food, the highlights of the year for this or that dish, how the container can change the appreciation of the content and the cultural impact of food.
Finally, they became aware of the necessities of the practice of food trades including both respect for hygiene, manual skills, the pleasure of dealing with raw materials, creativity and a sense of business.
A real overview that we hope everyone has enjoyed !
