What if you, too, became a character in Lord of the Flies?
William Golding’s iconic novel Lord of the Flies (1954) explores human nature and the fragile boundary between civilisation, order and savagery. This powerful and timeless work inspired a creative collaborative writing project led by the 1ère LLCER English students.
The students immersed themselves in the story by imagining new characters who join those from the original novel. They then wrote their own adventures in English, drawing on Golding’s characters, events and fictional world.
Their work has been compiled into a bound booklet—an original collective project that invites readers to discover Lord of the Flies through the students’ perspectives and imagination.
