The Lycée Français d’Oslo had the honor of welcoming Admiral Alain Coldefy, national president of the Société des Membres de la Légion d’Honneur (SMLH), yesterday morning. As part of the school’s Defense Partnership, he visited to present the SMLH and address the 11th-grade students during a special event combining the transmission of values with reflection on contemporary geopolitical issues.
During a captivating one-hour presentation, Admiral Coldefy discussed major topics such as NATO, France’s strategic interests around the world, and current geopolitical challenges. This moment of knowledge-sharing aligns with the mission of the SMLH, an organization that promotes values of commitment, solidarity, and service to the Nation. A rich discussion followed, allowing students to ask questions on the topics covered and share their thoughts. Accompanied by Madame Breuzé, Admiral Coldefy strengthened the link between education and citizenship, offering his expert insight into globally significant issues. It was an inspiring and impactful moment for all participants, in line with the school’s ongoing commitment to passing on the values of defense and public service.
