As part of the 11th-grade curriculum (“Diversity and Inclusion,” “Territory and Memory,” and “Private and Public Spaces”), and following a project on the theme “Migration, Refugees, and Global Organizations,” we had the opportunity to welcome a representative from Doctors Without Borders, Dr. Kristian Nødtvedt Malme.
He shared his field experience from his missions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, and Haiti. His account provided a concrete illustration of the humanitarian issues studied in class and shed valuable light on the realities faced by displaced populations.
This meeting was particularly memorable for the students: it sparked numerous questions, encouraged critical thinking, and deepened their understanding of issues related to migration and the work of international organizations. A rich and inspiring exchange!
