Extra-curricular activities

The association of AES is an association of voluntary parents who organizes with Eva Kokovinos, responsible for the holiday clubs and kindergartens, activities for the children of the LFO

Every year a wide range of after-school activities is available in French and Norwegian. Over 250 children participate, from the last year of preschool up to 8th grade.

These activities allow children to develop their skills in sports and handicrafts in relaxed, familiar surroundings, as they mostly take place on the school premises.

During school holidays, holiday clubs (from CP to CM2) are organized Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (paid activities organized by the AES).

  • Internships are also offered by external contributors during school holidays (prices and offers vary according to the service providers).
  • The AES communicate via the free SPOND application, all information relating to holiday clubs and extra-curricular activities is centralized on this application.

However, some information will be sent by email and it is for this reason that we would like to know if you would agree to communicate your email addresses to us in order to give you access to this information (please send me an email at aes@lfo.no if you do not wish).

All prices correspond to 12 sessions per activity for the 1st semester from September to December and 13 sessions for the 2nd semester from mid-January to the end of May (excluding school holidays).

  • All AES are 1900,-kr except fencing and rugby which are 2200,-kr as registration gives you access to Njård club (fencing) and Sagene IF (rugby).
  • A reduction of 420,-kr is applicable from the registration of the second child and a reduction of 630,-kr is applicable from the 3rd child.
  • The cooking activity is 2200,-kr because the activity lasts 2 hours and your child leaves with one of his culinary achievements.
  • Zumba and Modern Jazz for CPs are 1700,-kr because for timing reasons these last 45 minutes.
  • The “classic” holiday clubs are priced at 1950,-kr per week.
  • For internships, prices and offers vary according to the providers.

Activities begin after school hours generally around 3:00 p.m. and end no later than 5:30 p.m. (6:00 p.m. for middle school modern jazz) to facilitate parents’ daily management.

However, some activities start at 3:15 p.m. as the gymnasiums are only available after middle school PE classes which end at 3:10 p.m.

  • For middle school students, it will be imperative to have written authorization from their parents to allow them to wait alone in the courtyard for the start of their activity.
  • There is a 30 minute break between the end of lessons and the start of activities sometimes 1h30.
  • This authorization should be sent to aes@lfo.no.
  • You will have to pick up your child at the time and at the gate indicated on SPOND’s daily invitations (any delay of 15 minutes will be penalized with 150,-kr).

AES on a daily basis

On the day of your child’s activity, it is essential to provide a light snack such as a fruit or a cereal bar so that the activity can start on time.

Please check that your children have the appropriate sports clothes for the activity (eg: sports shoes, dance clothes, aprons for the kitchen, etc).

Upon confirmation of your children’s registration, you will receive information about the outfit or accessories to bring.

The costumes that will be used during the Christmas and June shows will be loaned to the children free of charge.
