As part of their programs in Literature, Art and History, the students of 5eme have crafted a notebook with a leather cover.
From the cutting of the materials to the stitching of the cover, our apprentices have experienced an ancient skill and have learned to appreciate the book as a work of art in itself.
Working with leather and paper has revealed lots of hidden talent among our students. Although this work has at times been long and meticulous, it has also been a great success for them and the final result is a charming notebook trimmed with ribbons. They will later fill the blank pages with text inspired by the Middle-Ages and with their own illuminations.
